BENNETT VERBY CELEBRATES NEW OFFICE IN CITY CENTRE
Following on from the announcement earlier this year that Stockport based Accountants Bennett Verby are to open an office in Manchester City Centre, they have now had the opportunity to celebrate with clients and contacts alike.
Thursday 10th November saw an informal gathering at Pall Mall Court in recognition of the move to the City Centre for the firm. Over 150 attendees enjoyed a relaxed setting and a chance to view this central location over a drink and a nibble. In line with their established CSR policy Bennett Verby made a contribution to Kidscan to mark the event and the charity had an opportunity to inform members of the business community about the valuable work they do.
'We kicked off the festive season with an informal celebration for a wide selection of our clients and contacts' said Bernard Verby, Managing Partner. 'It has been an exciting year and we relish the year ahead where we hope to see more of our growth plans realised.'

BENNETT VERBY CORPORATE RECOVERY OPENS NEW OFFICE IN NEWCASTLE UNDER LYME

Bennett Verby Corporate Recovery & Insolvency Services are planning to capitalise on a successful, growing presence in the ‘Potteries’ and surrounding area by opening a new office in Newcastle Under Lyme.
Julie Bridgett a well-known and respected practitioner with a great deal of experience within this region will head up the new office. Julie has worked within Corporate Recovery and related insolvency work for over 13 years and is a member of both the Insolvency Practitioners’ Association and the Association of Business Recovery.
‘It is a natural progression for us’ said Vincent Simmons, Head of Bennett Verby Corporate Recovery. ‘We are delighted to welcome Julie to the team and her reputation within this area will be a great asset. STOCKPORT HR COMPANY EXPANDS AS BUSINESS GROWS
BV Human Resources are pleased to announce a further strengthening of the team as they welcome Yvonne Chernick as a full time Human Resources Consultant. Yvonne is a Chartered member of the Institute of Personnel and Development with over 10 years experience offering professional, effective HR services to a wide and dynamic customer base.
Yvonne's appointment follows that of Alan Hawkes earlier in the year as the Company grows from strength to strength. Turnover has increased 20% in the financial year to January 2011 and is on target to reach or surpass the 3 years target of a further 50% incremental growth.
Hawkes is a professional manager qualified in Human Resource Management, Strategic Business Solutions and Operations Management. With over 25 years experience, he counts as one of his major achievements the merging of differing organisational cultures in acquisition and merger situations.

A Stockport town centre accountancy firm is all set to help kick start enterprise and entrepreneurial spirit with a new service for local businesses
Bennett Verby Accountants' new free service is aimed at helping those looking to set up a new business in the North West and who are seeking valuable advice on how to go about it.
"The business news is full of cuts, unemployment and job devaluation," says Bernard Verby, Managing Partner. "We are counteracting this negativity by encouraging budding business owners to take up the challenge of starting a new enterprise and we aim to help as much as we can."
The Start up Surgery will run for half a day twice a month and will allow potential entrepreneurs to spend time with highly experienced business advisors who will be able to give an independent and effective review of their business plan. In addition, attendees will receive practical advice on how to progress into the business world. They will hear essential advice on tax planning plus guidance on navigating the complex systems for raising much needed capital.

BV hosts their second Client Curry Club
Bennett Verby hosted the second of their Client Curry Club at the Rajdoot restaurant in Manchester on Thursday 10th February. This lunchtime event was attended by over 40 business owners and senior managers from the North West area. Attendees were treated to a relaxed atmosphere in which they can enjoy great food, stimulating Company and an opportunity to network with likeminded business professionals.
